Method & Craft →
cameronmoll:
The About page summarizes this new site by Phil Coffman, Noah Stokes, and Trent Walton quite nicely:

Rands In Repose: The Art... →
There have been a great number of articles and opinons about Instagram lately (if you missed them, try google), but Rands’ “The Art of Not” — as usual — comes out near the top and is definitely worth sharing.
On a sidenote, Instagram has done two things to me. It has managed to rekindle my love of photography paired with a device that is always ‘there’ instead of...

Government websites and colour tonality
I stumbled upon Number10 today and the first thought that occurred to me was “Wow. This is an incredibly dark and bleary looking website.” One cannot but wonder if the dark, muted colours reflect the current British government’s general outlook on its day-to-day job.
Here’s a quick comparison between the US, UK and German governments’ online representations:

Behold the truly excellent Grip Limited, who have created a typographic tour-de-force in Knockout (and a little Archer) that really repays scrolling in all directions. I especially like the end of the second column. —Jonathan Hoefler
